This page distinguishes this private guide from the offices that supply official records in the geographic Hartford County area. Because Connecticut has no county government here, requests must be routed to the municipal police department, Connecticut Superior Court clerk, DESPP/SPBI, or CT DOC that actually maintains the requested material.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately operated reference site cannot retrieve an official criminal record, conduct an official check, correct or erase a record, or receive a filing. Those services belong to the responsible Connecticut or municipal office.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office that controls the particular Hartford-area record:

  • Court files: use the Court Case Lookup guide or contact the Connecticut Superior Court clerk shown on the docket
  • State criminal-history products: use DESPP's State Police Bureau of Identification and the Connecticut Criminal History Request System
  • Incident and arrest reports: contact the municipal police department or Connecticut State Police troop that created the report
  • Custody information: use the Connecticut DOC Inmate Information Search or contact CT DOC
  • Registry information: use the DESPP-administered Connecticut Sex Offender Registry
  • Erasure, Clean Slate, sealing, or pardon matters: follow the applicable Judicial Branch, DESPP, or Board of Pardons and Paroles process
